Yippee Actilearn Teaches Kids Plastic Recycling

Vijayapura, Karnataka, November 17, 2025 In an uninterrupted effort to strengthen environmental mindfulness among youthful learners, ITC YiPPee! launched ActiLearn, an interactive educational book designed to educate academy children about plastic waste operation, recycling, and sustainable gestures. 
. The action is part of the company’s ongoing YiPPee! Better World Program, which focuses on fostering responsible practices and sustainability education across seminaries in India. The recently introduced workbook aims to make literacy about plastic waste both pleasurable and practical, ensuring that children understand the issue through relatable conditioning and hands-on tests. 

The launch event was inaugurated by Sri M. B. Patil, Hon’ble Minister for Large & Medium Diligence and Structure Development, Government of Karnataka, at the Core Science Activity Centre in Vijayapura. The programme was supported by the Agastya International Foundation, which has been associated with several existential literacy enterprises for scholars across the country. The event brought together a large participation base, with representatives from around 100 seminaries and 100 preceptors from Vijayapura and other corridors of North Karnataka. As part of the action, an aggregate of 30,000 workbooks were distributed to scholars, accompanied by schoolteacher-training sessions to strengthen classroom delivery of sustainability generalities. 

ActiLearn has been specifically curated to help children understand the growing challenge of plastic waste, its long-term environmental impact, and the part recycling and responsible disposal play in erecting a sustainable future. The workbook uses simple, interactive tools to explain the generalities of reducing, reusing, and recycling. Its exertion-grounded structure encourages active participation, making sustainability engaging content rather than a theoretical conception. This aligns nearly with the YiPPee! Better World Program’s larger thing—motivating children to borrow responsible habits beforehand in life and empowering them to become unborn lawyers for environmental protection. 

Inaugurating the programme, Sri M. B. Patil emphasised the need for early environmental mindfulness and the significance of tutoring children on the consequences of plastic waste. He noted that enterprises like ActiLearn give children an occasion to understand sustainability through fun and practical styles and help nurture a generation that can lead India towards a cleaner and greener future. His reflections stressed the government’s support for educational sweats that blend learning with responsibility, particularly in areas where mindfulness can directly contribute to bettered waste operation practices. 

The event also witnessed the presence of several crucial dignitaries, including Dr Anand, Deputy Commissioner of Vijayapura (IAS); Sri Rishi Anand, IAS; and elderly officers from the Department of Public Instruction. Their participation underlined the significance of cooperative efforts between government bodies, corporates, and educational institutions in addressing environmental challenges. 

Representing ITC Foods, Mr Suresh Chand, Vice President & Head of Marketing – Snacks, Polls & Pasta, reiterated the company’s focus on sustainability-led literacy. He explained that the YiPPee! Better World Program has constantly worked towards combining education with environmental responsibility and that the preface of ActiLearn is a step further in equipping children with the knowledge to make responsible choices. According to him, ITC believes that similar early interventions can plant the seeds for a sustainable hereafter, especially when children engage with the subject through creative and interactive mediums. 

The one-day event featured a range of conditioning that introduced scholars to the 3Rs of waste operation – Reduce, Exercise, and Reclaim. Through demonstrations and workbook-led tasks, learners explored how everyday habits contribute to plastic waste and how purposely altering these habits can bring long-term benefits. Preceptors sharing in the programme were also handedtraining to help them effectively integrate the generalities of waste operation into their classroom sessions, icing that the impact of the action continues beyond the event. 

Since its launch, the YiPPee! Better World Program has reached millions of scholars across India, educating them about sustainability and the significance of responsible waste operation. The programme’s approach integrates classroom education, community action, and supporting structure to help make mindfulness and encourage positive behavioural change. By the end of the 2025–26academic year, the programme aims to reach 3.5 million children, strengthening its donation to civil society in promoting plastic waste operation and sustainable practices. 

The preface of ActiLearn marks another step in ITC YiPPee!’s broader charge to support environmental education. Through hookups with seminaries, original administrations, and educational foundations, the company continues to expand its sustainability outreach, emphasising the pivotal part that children can play in shaping a more environmentally conscious society. With enterprises like this, ITC strengthens its position in driving indirect frugality practices while empowering youthful learners to take part in meaningful environmental conduct.
