The Bihar government has commissioned the first phase of the ₹ 2,800 crore Kajra Solar Power Project, marking a significant step in the state’s transition towards clean and sustainable energy. Under the first phase, a 185 MW solar power factory has been developed along with a 254 megawatt-hour (MWh) battery energy storehouse system (BESS). The phase has been completed at an estimated cost of ₹ 1,810 crore.
