Bry-Air Hosts 16th Eye Camp in Moga, Punjab

Bry-Air, the flagship company of the Pahwa Group, has successfully conducted its 16th biannual eye camp at the Mathra Das Civil Eye Hospital in Moga, Punjab, reaffirming its long-standing commitment to community healthcare and pastoral eye treatment. Held on 30 November 2025, the action formed part of the company’s nonstop CSR efforts and was organized in cooperation with the original NGO Bhartiya Jagriti Manch. With a central focus on relating and treating cataract cases, the camp sought to bring accessible and quality eye care to townies who frequently struggle to admit timely treatment.

The event drew a significant gathering of residents from Moga and neighboring townlets, pressing the patient need for pastoral vision-care interventions. The initial form was led by Sanjeev Saini, Chief Patron of Bhartiya Jagriti Manch, who emphasized the significance of sustained community outreach in addressing preventable blindness. The camp also saw the presence of several notable guests, including social worker Indu Puri and Dr. Deepek Kochhar, Chief Author of Bhartiya Jagriti Manch, whose engagement underlined the cooperative spirit behind the program.

The camp witnessed a strong turnout, with 581 townies attending from Singhawala, Mothawala, Bukkanwala, Ghalla Kalan, Dunneke, Rattian, Bughipura, Dalla, Dhurkot Kalan, Mehna, Chughwan, Rauli, Talwandi, Dasain, Fatehgarh, Jalalabad, Landheke, Dhalleke, Lohara, Janer, Dosanjh, Khosa Pando, and numerous other nearby townlets. Numerous attendees came seeking opinions for habitual eye enterprises that had remained unaddressed due to fiscal constraints, lack of mindfulness, or limited access to medical installations. Recognizing the soberness of cataract-related visual impairment in pastoral communities, the camp placed particular emphasis on webbing for this condition. Out of the total attendees, 93 individuals were linked for cataract surgery, marking a pivotal step toward precluding avoidable blindness among the pastoral population.

To ensure comprehensive support, the organizers distributed over 771 free drugs and 300 specs to the heirs, allowing individuals with refractive crimes or mild conditions to admit immediate relief. The provision of free specs also helped address long-standing vision issues that frequently hamper diurnal conditioning, education, and work productivity in pastoral settings.

The camp reflects Bry-Air’s ongoing efforts to recognize the heritage of Rai Bahadur Dr. Mathra Das Pahwa, the visionary eye surgeon and philanthropist whose name continues to inspire the company’s CSR enterprise. The Mathra Das Civil Hospital, innovated by Dr. Pahwa, remains a foundation of pastoral eye care in Moga and serves as the venue for these recreating camps. Dr. Pahwa’s donation to the field of ophthalmology is immense; he conducted over half a million surgeries during his continuance and held a world record of performing 750 operations in a single day. His extraordinary fidelity earned him multitudinous accolades, including the Padma Shri, the title of Rai Bahadur, and multiple Kesari Hind orders. Bry-Air’s continued organization of eye camps in the region stands as a homage to his belief in bringing quality eye care to underserved communities.

Over time, the company’s sustained enterprise has made a considerable difference in the region. Prior to this time’s camp, Bry-Air had formerly organized 15 similar eye camps in Moga, furnishing 10,725 OPD consultations, performing 1,289 cataract surgeries, distributing 4,366 specs, and offering more than 15,694 drugs to heirs. The rearmost camp adds significantly to these figures and reinforces the company’s determination to expand the reach and impact of its vision—care sweats.

Beyond Moga, Bry-Air’s footprint in healthcare and community development is expansive. The organization has conducted 130 eye camps across Delhi NCR and Punjab to date, easing 45,775 OPD consultations, performing 3,941 cataract surgeries, distributing 28,179 specs, and furnishing more than 36,793 drugs. Through these efforts, the company has erected an important heritage of service that has served thousands of individuals across different regions.

Bry-Air’s CSR enterprise gauges multiple countries, including Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Punjab, covering sections similar to Gurugram, Rewari, Palwal, Nuh, Alwar, Udaipur, Delhi, and Moga. Since 2011, its programs have appreciatively impacted more than 113,232 heirs across colorful focus areas. A significant portion of these—over 46,000 people—have served specifically from vision-related enterprises. Also, education-centered interventions have reached further than 18,000 individuals, empowering children and youth with better literacy opportunities. Environmental enterprises have supported over 41,000 people, while other community systems have upraised nearly 7,986 individuals, contributing to sustainable livelihoods and better living conditions.

The company’s CSR frame centers on three primary areas: vision, education, and environment. Through these pillars, Bry-Air aims to empower depressed and especially abled individuals, women, and growers. Its enterprise concentrates on enhancing chops, supporting education, promoting good health and hygiene practices, and enabling profitable advancement in underdeveloped regions. By addressing both immediate healthcare requirements and long-term community development pretensions, the company continues to make a holistic and poignant model of social responsibility.

Speaking at the event, Mahmood Akhtar, director of CSR at Bry-Air, stressed the significance of the action. He stated that access to healthcare, especially eye care, should be an abecedarian right, not an honor. He reiterated the organization’s commitment to bridging critical healthcare gaps and emphasized that timely interventions can dramatically change lives. According to him, each eye camp strengthens the platoon’s resoluteness to reach further communities, restore sight, and produce lasting openings for individuals to lead healthier and more stable lives.

The 16th Biannual Eye Camp at Moga stands as a testament to what sustained community-concentrated sweats can achieve. Through targeted medical intervention, harmonious outreach, and strong hookups, Bry-Air continues to illuminate lives and transfigure communities—one restored vision at a time.
