KPI Green Bags 696 Crore Solar EPC O&M Contract

KPI Green Energy has  settled a major contract worth ₹ 696.50 crore( banning GST) from the state-  possessed SJVN Ltd to  make a 200 MW( AC) solar power factory at the GIPCL Renewable Energy Park in Khavda, Gujarat.

Under this deal, KPI Green will take on three distinct but interlinked  places supply all the major factory  outfit, handle the engineering- procurement- construction( EPC) work, and manage the operation and  conservation( O&M) of the factory for the first three times after it goes live.

Breaking down the contract value, about ₹ 486.89 crore is allocated for the  force of factory and  outfit, ₹ 178.27 crore for construction, testing, commissioning, and civil  workshop, and ₹ 31.34 crore is allocated for the three- time O&M period( including  reserves and consumables).

KPI Green will also be responsible for all logistical aspects disburdening, handling,  storehouse, and assuring the  outfit until it’s commissioned. Once construction is complete, the company will carry out performance testing and  functional acceptance as per the terms of the contract.

For KPI Green, this is a strong vote of confidence. The deal reinforces its character as a  dependable  mate for large- scale renewable  systems, especially in the  mileage- scale solar space. Faruk G. Patel, the company’s Chairman and Managing Director, remarked that landing this contract with a central public- sector enterprise like SJVN underscores KPI Green’s  prosecution capability and credibility.

On SJVN’s side, the move reflects its growing  drive beyond hydropower into solar energy. SJVN is a  common adventure between the Government of India and the Government of Himachal Pradesh.

This  design also strengthens KPI Green’s presence in the Khavda Renewable Energy Park. The company is  formerly executing a 645 MWp solar cluster there, and with the addition of this 200 MW( AC)  design, its capacity under development at Khavda will exceed 845 MWp( DC).

Overall, the deal demonstrates KPI Green’s intertwined capability from supplying  outfit to  erecting the factory, and  also managing its early operations and further cements its position in India’s clean energy transition.
