NTPC Green Energy To Raise ₹1500 Crore Via NCDs

Green Energy Ltd (NGEL), an attachment of NTPC Ltd, has blazoned a fund-raise of ₹ 1,500 crore through the allocation of relaxed non-convertible debentures (NCDs) on a private placement basis.

According to a nonsupervisory form, the company will execute the issue on 11 November 2025, with the debentures growing one day later on 12 November 2035, giving them a tenor of 10 times and 1 day. The pasteboard rate is set at 7.01 per cent per annum.

The proceeds from the issue will be used primarily for backing capital expenditure (including systems formerly incurred), extending loans for capital expenditure to its accessories and common gambles, and for general commercial purposes.

The debentures will be relaxed and are proposed to be listed on the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. (NSE) debt member.

The board resolution approving this allocation dates back to 29 April 2025. This marks the first similar debenture allocation under that blessing.

In summary, NTPC Green Energy is tapping into the debt requests with a 10-time NCD allocation aimed at securing ₹ 1,500 crore for its capital and commercial backing requirements, at a fixed pasteboard of 7.01 per cent, and is preparing to list the paper on NSE.
