The Telangana government is stepping up efforts to accelerate the relinquishment of electric vehicles (EVs) across the state by significantly adding procurement for government use and rapidly expanding the charging structure. The move reflects the state’s commitment to clean mobility, reduced carbon emissions, and long-term sustainability in the transport sector. 

Speaking in the state legislative assembly, the government indicated that electric vehicles could account for nearly 25 to 50 percent of unborn vehicle procurement for sanctioned use. Civic centers like Hyderabad are formally witnessing visible changes, with a growing number of charging stations and the addition of EV power. As electric vehicles become more affordable and accessible, Telangana’s enterprise could serve as a model for other countries aiming to make a cleaner and further flexible mobility ecosystem.
